Some Things I’m Loving

  • Every summer I grow lavender on the back deck in containers. At the end of the season, I pick the purple flowers, let them dry, and fill little sachets with the blossoms. I toss them in my dresser drawers to make things smell nice, and other places. This winter season I have really enjoyed having a lavender sachet in each of my coat pockets. Because I put my mittens in my coat pockets, my mittens smell like fresh lavender, and if I crinkle the sachets in my pockets, a wonderful calm sent surrounds me even if I’m not surrounded by calm events.
  • Several kidlets and I have really been enjoying Cara Cara oranges this season. (I don’t love that the kidlets can’t seem to get the orange peels into the compost).
  • My old laser printer needed a part replaced, and unfortunately the replacement cost was practically greater than buying a whole new printer, so in the end that’s what we did. The new printer/copier is a color laser printer, and I have really been enjoying the ability to print some things in color. Fancy!
  • I recently purchased this box of Eric Carle Postcards, and I LOVE them!
  • I am loving our newly refinished hardwood floors upstairs in the hallway and in my office. They are so beautiful! I’m super excited about having hardwood in the family room as well.
