Opposite Middles

He’s introverted, and so happy that he can just read books in his room by himself all day long. I have to drag him out to do anything other than eat. He’s not so very motivated to do homework of any sort. I’m pretty certain he could go on like this indefinitely.

She’s extroverted and bored out of her mind most of the time. She cannot WAIT for all of this staying at home to be OVER. She misses her friends, her teachers, her crazy busy schedule cram packed with activities. This week she discovered she could FaceTime her extroverted best friend, and the two of them have literally had multiple hour chat sessions. I don’t mind so much. She needs the interaction, and it sort of reminds me of long telephone calls with my friends when I was her age. Telephone calls like that don’t seem to happen in the world of teenagers these days. She reads in her room, sometimes avoids doing homework, but not for long because the girl just needs something to do!
