Independence Day
We spent the morning reading and practicing. Dr. Peds cooked on his slow cooking grill, and several members of the family enjoyed an epic Monopoly game. (They are still on a Monopoly craze.) The Banana and her friend made several trips to the grocery store on their bicycles to get ingredients for a couple of baking projects they were working on.
In the mid afternoon we headed up to spend time with our friends at the top of the hill, where there was delicious food, a pleasant breeze, lots of dog snuggles, yard games, and a temporary rogue water fight.
There were no city fireworks to watch this year because of the virus and restrictions about large crowds of people, but as always there were random people lighting off small fireworks from their yards at dark.
It was just a pleasant, low key kind of holiday.
