At the Cabin: The Annual Pontoon Ride

I hopped aboard the pontoon just as it was leaving the dock for the annual Pontoon Ride of Mishaps. As discussed in previous years, the pontoon at the family cabin is old . . . so very old. It’s rusty. It travels slowly. Parts of the pontoon are replaced with whatever is on hand. The seats crumple. Something crazy happens every year on the pontoon. There have been years when we have run out of gas on the annual pontoon ride, or the motor fills with water and won’t work. It’s always crazy for some reason, an adventure worth participating in. Even though we didn’t have any major disasters this year, there was plenty of craziness on that pontoon. We met up with cousins who were riding the jetski on the other side of the lake where there was a bit of swimming and jumping and lots of noise.
