Zinnia: Preparing to Bloom
I have lots of zinnias blooming on the back deck right now, but this one, which hasn’t yet revealed what color or shape it will be, caught my attention. I love how tightly the flower bud is wrapped up, and the contrast of the black edges and the green.
It is August and I’m savoring the flowers, but I’m also savoring all the green: green leaves, green trees, green bushes, green vines, green grass. I’ll sorely miss all the growing in February.
