A Sprinkler in the Hot Afternoon

Labor Day weekend was the hottest I can ever remember, and definitely the hottest string of five days we’ve had all summer. It was so weird for it to be so very hot so late in the season. It was also dry and crunchy, and just a struggle in general. Peanut Maximus hates being hot just as much as I do, and he was just a little beast. On a trip to the hardware store, Dr. Peds found a sprinkler on super clearance, and brought it home. It was just what we needed to cool off. We could get a little wet, but not too wet, and it provided the fun factor to get us through the long, hot afternoons.

When Peanut Maximus needs a little extra comfort, he bunches up the silky strap for his pacifier right up by his lips.
