First Day of School

OK, so I may have grieved the fact that it was the first day of school and only two kids were home and going to school. It was a little rough. The Banana knew that it was going to be rough for me, and she even gave me a gift to cheer me up: a purple International Music Camp T-shirt that she had got for me at camp last summer.

This was indicative of their true feelings about summer ending. To be truthful, it probably was indicative of my feelings about summer ending also. Although I hated summer when I was a teenager, I actually love the relaxed pace now. I was probably more grumpy about school starting than they were!

The Banana drove off to eleventh grade. Although she drove to school to her zero hour class (students have to arrange their own transportation for zero hour classes) a good chunk of last year, this was the first time she, or any of her siblings, actually, have driven off to the first day of school.

Mr. Trouble on Feet rode the bus to seventh grade just a little bit later in the morning.
