Devious Snail: Celebrating 19

We started the day out with breakfast in the bathtub, standing room only! On the menu: bagels with cream cheese. Unfortunately, the Devious Snail’s favorite type of bagel (cinnamon sugar) was not available, so we made due with other varieties.

To wash it down, the Devious Snail gleefully poured a glass of his littlest brother’s whole milk. Whole milk is usually off limits to everyone except Peanut Maximus, but it was a birthday, after all!

Next: present opening. There weren’t many presents on the table, and half were actually important things The Devious Snail left behind when he went to college, like some rings and his prescription sunglasses, and a wireless earbud set. The final present on the table, however, was from his sister: a regifted hollow chocolate football broken into more pieces by this time! At this point, it was opened for taste testing, but everyone who tried it spit it out!

After a day out with friends, The Devious Snail joined in with the extended family for dinner, and for dessert there were brownies and ice cream, delivered with extremely crazy singing that only an enormous extended family given permission to sing as loudly and terribly as possible can make. Glorious. And yes, that is Auntie Amy Texas bent over the table holding her ears closed. She somehow ended up dead center in the middle of it all.

The Banana was on hand to help blow out the candles, as usual.
