Aumnee loaned me some of her art history books about Renaissance Art (she was teaching an art history class) and I enjoyed reading about Michelangelo. I didn’t realize he ended up painting the Sistine Chapel ceiling because of a feud with the Pope (sort of as a punishment).
It turns out that a cheap plastic water bottle can actually shrink in the dishwasher. When I put it in, it looked like a regular water bottle. When I took it out, it looked like a test tube! I had never seen anything like it! I have had things melt in the dishwasher before, but this felt like a wool sweater in the washing machine!
At the piano I learned the second movement of a Grieg Sonata that I’m working on this summer, and I love it so, so much! It is just lovely to sit down and play it. I’m also working on a long first movement of a Beethoven sonata, which is a big summer project for me, and I only have three pages left that I haven’t started the learning process for. Progress!
Potty training is hard, miserable work. I knew this. I’m learning it again.
