Dr. Peds gifted me this. The weather is hot, and I’m loving it so much. I wear it after I get back from a walk and feel gross and sweaty. I wear it when I’m practicing an instrument (which always seems to make me overwarm). I wear when the air is too sticky and too warm. I love how the little enclosed ice cubes keep radiating cool for so long, but you never feel too cold, and the whole contraption just snuggles right into you in all the right places. Best of all there is a little snap on the front so it doesn’t fall off while you move around.
I’m loving milkweed, which I keep seeing all over in people’s yards! I love that everyone is planting so much milkweed as flowers. It is such an interesting and helpful plant, and I love the shape of the blooms and the fun leaves.
I’m loving the fun pictures Peanut Maximus is drawing for me these days. They are usually about snakes eating different foods or having a birthday party. After celebrating Mr. TOF’s birthday, someone is really, really looking forward to his own upcoming birthday.
Speaking of drawings, Aumnee was sitting in my living room the other night and told the Devious Snail she wanted to draw my piano, and she left me the most awesome pen drawing in purple ink of the piano corner. I am going to frame it and put it up.
I’m loving my hammock time while Peanut Maximus plays in the sandbox. I hadn’t gotten to use my hammock very much at all for the last two summers because my boy was so busy, or eating everything (like sand), so this summer it feels a little luxurious to rock in my hammock with a book of poetry while Peanut Maximus digs holes in the sand with his construction vehicles or drags things out of the shed to play with in the back corner of the yard.
