Lean

The Tall Ships visited last weekend, and on Thursday a few of us went down the beach next to the Rose Garden to watch them circling about on the Lake as we at a snack-lunch. There was a brisk (but manageable) breeze, and it was pretty neat to watch the ships with their sails in full glory catch the breeze as they were zig zagging about on the water and really zip quickly. I feel like the picture doesn’t do justice to the angle this boat was leaning at as it really zoomed across the water. If you look really closely you can see that the lower rail was almost touching the water. We had our binoculars out, and it was so interesting to watch the crews on the boats.
