2025 Sunday Night at the Beach: Edition 10

To be honest, it wasn’t the most relaxing trip to the beach. Peanut Maximus was slightly feverish and fussy, but he was actually happier at the beach than he would have been at home. Still, he oscillated between having fun and feeling miserable at the drop of a pin. Dr. Peds was feeling cantankerous and to be funny, he kept throwing The Banana’s shoes into the water, which she thought was humorous the first few times, but maybe not so much after that. At one point he threw it farther in the the Lake, and she declared she would not be going to get it. The wind took the shoe out farther and farther while she rather stubbornly watched it go and tried to hold fast to her position. However, it was her brand new slide-in shoe that she planned on taking to college, so when it got far enough out she gave in and went for a little swim to retrieve it.

I won’t say watching the events unfold didn’t make my stomach hurt a bit from feeling overly anxious, my eyes locked on that red plastic shoe floating farther out on the blue water by the minute.

In the end it all worked out, and after a good night of sleeping everyone felt a little better.
