Peanut Maximus Turns Three

Peanut Maximus highly anticipated his birthday, and I don’t think he was disappointed. When different people asked him what he was excited about in the days leading up to his birthday he always mentioned the decorations that were going to be in the window in the morning and that we would be eating cake. The decorations were up before the sun, and he did indeed eat cake!

We started the day with his favorite banana chocolate chip muffins in the bathtub with all the siblings that were home.

We spent a lot of time playing outside, and his very favorite gift was a little lawnmower that blows bubbles when you push it. Mr. TOF actually brought up the idea, and let me tell you, this little lawnmower has made the miles around the yard! He literally pushed it around all day with his “worker headphones” (which are broken headphones with the cords removed) so he could be just like his big brother. The lawnmower has been used every single day since his birthday too.

Mr. TOF made Swedish pancakes for the birthday lunch. I planned on going to a park or the beach for an activity after nap, but the lure of the lawnmower was so great we never bothered to leave the yard!

We had macaroni and cheese with hamburger for supper, and it was followed by the highly anticipated cake! We went with an ice cream cake, since Mr. TOF had just had ice cream cake for his birthday, and I suspected this was the kind of cake Peanut Maximus was expecting.

Look at how delighted he was with his siblings’ wild and crazy birthday singing! He was really having such a good time!

He planned on having The Banana help him blow out the candles, but technically I think a gust of wind blew them out. Either way, it worked just fine, and he and The Banana were on to other things: swiping whipped cream off the side of the cake!

By the end he was swiping his own whipped cream!
