Grade Nine

Let’s just say that sending two kids off to college (one back for his third year, and one for the very first time) in the time span of one week felt like being run through a cheese grater repeatedly. This guy was there for it all, giving me 59 big hugs per day when I would spontaneously start crying and patiently watching Peanut Maximus when I needed yet another moment.

Then, yesterday it was his turn to go back to school, first day in a new building and first time being the only sibling headed off to school. He didn’t even complain about the obligatory first day of school picture.

I offered to take a “Not-first-day-of-work” picture of Dr. Peds, who was leaving at the same time, but he declined.
