Big Sister Love

Now that Squirmy has become less fragile and more interactive, the Big Sisters around here spend a lot of time dragging him around.  They drag him away from places he shouldn’t be.  They drag him toward toys they’d like him to play with.  They drag him away from all the little bits of things he finds in the corners on the floor and tries to eat.  They drag him wherever they want, just because it’s fun.  The Banana drags him close to her so she can “read” him books, which really means that she plunks him down and holds him tight so he can’t escape while she sings made up opera songs directly at his head with a board book open in her hands.  She likes to hoist him up into the rocking chair where she spends a lot of time mothering him, whether or not he wants to mothered at that particular time.  To his credit, Squirmy is a very patient baby who loves big sister attention.
