The Legos Travel Outdoors

The kidlets have hired me to be their macro photographer.  The payment is hugs and kisses.  For quite some time, Mr. SP has been very taken with the blog Lego a Day.  In fact, we all are amused every time we visit the site.  It has spurred a greater interest in Lego around here, and inspired much more creative, out of the box, Lego playing.  Last Monday the weather was beautiful, and Mr. SP started constructing bark boats to sail in the puddles on the corner.  I got my camera to take a picture of the boat, and then he got the idea to bring out some Lego guys to sail on the boat.  Soon everyone was constructing all sorts of boats and I was instructed to take pictures of all the scenes to put on my blog, “just like ‘Lego of the Day.'”  They have big plans to start their own Lego of the Day blog.  I mentioned that it might be a lot of work to do a Lego scene every day.  They scaled their plans back to a Lego scene each week.  They are so enthusiastic.  I just like seeing them thinking hard and working together.  Getting the Legos to do what they wanted them to do was a lot more work than they anticipated.  There were a lot of tricky fine motor skills involved.
