Dress Up Like Your Favorite Character from a Book Day

Today was "Dress Up like Your Favorite Character from a Book Day" at Sarah's school, the grand finale to Reading Month.  Sarah choose to dress up like Fanny, from Hollie Hobbie's book, which we really love around this house.  She came up with the costume herself:  black leggings, a tutu, pink turtle neck, and wire rim glasses.  Dr. Peds and I were up at sunrise, wrestling with my old pair of eyeglasses.  Dr. Peds finally had to get out his set of tiny screwdrivers and take the glasses all apart to get the lenses out.  He got them put back together just in time for Sarah to hop on the bus.  It was a super fun costume.  I think she did a great job.
