Consuming Spinach: Reverse Psychology

This child likes spinach.  In fact, Mr. Sneaky Pants even asks for spinach as his vegetable.  It's because he is growing at incredibly rapid rates, and I always tell him, "Stop that growing!  No more growing!  You can't get any bigger.  And no more healthy vegetables for you!  Absolutely no more spinach.  I know that's what is making you grow so fast."

And of course, whenever you forbid him from doing something, he will want to do it all the more.  Therefore, he asks for an entire plateful of spinach every few days, and he chomps it all down, giggling the whole time.  He claims that he's going to keep eating spinach and growing until he's big enough to ride a motorcycle.  Heaven help me.
