Concerning Boys

Mr. Sneaky Pants had fallen asleep in the car on the way home from returning our fill-in babysitter from piano lessons today.  The Banana was humming softly away in her carseat.  From the back of the van, Sarah was in a chatty mood, telling me all about school, and how her class didn't get to have choice time today because the boys were not listening to the teacher.  She has a pretty wild first grade class, with a lot of really crazy, energetic boys that nearly drive her poor teacher over the edge daily.  In her frustration, she noted:

"I just do not understand those boys!  All the names of people on the board for time outs are boys.  They don't even act like first graders!  They act like preschoolers.  Are they just made differently or what?  Boys are just so strange.  They act terrible when they're in kindergarten and first grade and second grade, and probably even third grade.  Sometimes they are nice in fourth and fifth grade because they finally know how to listen, but then when they get big sized, they do all kinds of reckless things.  I don't understand why they have to be SO reckless."

Hmmmm.  Well, there you have it.  I have a hard time understanding boys too.

A Side note, the tones on this picture are WAY off when I post it here.  It looks so much better in real life!  How frustrating!
