Landscaping Plans for the Front Yard Zone
Recognizing that the backyard is already comfortably crowded and cluttered, the kidlets have been laying plans for the (comparably) pristine and spacious front yard for quite some time. You might recall a long time ago how YaYa desperately wanted to install an asphalt bike path around the perimeter of the house with a little parking area on the front yard for bikes. While I’m sure this might keep people busy and out of my hair for a chunk of the day, it seemed a to be a bit of a daunting project. Not to mention messy. Ahem.
Earlier this summer, all three of the big kidlets were convinced we NEEDED to clear out one of the big pine trees in front of the house and build a $40,000.00 swingset. There was a picture in a catalog they spent weeks drooling over, and were adamant that they didn’t think they could survive the summer without a better playset. Guess what! They did actually make it through the summer.
The latest plan for the front yard comes fresh from the mind of The Banana, who really wants to build a little shed in the front, put up a fence, and get a baby pig. Her life would be complete with a baby pig.
I have NO idea why she thinks a pig would be a good idea. I don’t think she’s ever even seen a real pig before, and she’s not really terribly interested in pigs other than thinking that our front yard REALLY needs a baby pig.
