Adaptive Huno

Hunocards

My daughter, Sarah, is a skilled Uno player.  She strategizes at Uno just like her dad, who taught her nearly everything he knows about playing Uno.  Mr. Sneaky Pants, it seems has plans to follow in pursuit.  For a long time, he has been enamored of Sarah and Greg's Uno games, or HUNO games, as he calls them.  Often, Greg lets Mr. Sneaky Pants help him, and I would venture that usually Sarah beats them.  Because of my little guy's avid interest in the game, though, recently my husband has creatively developed an adapted version of Uno, called HUNO, of course, that Mr. Sneaky Pants has no trouble playing.  The number of starting cards is decreased to three or four.  The cards are laid face down instead of held secretly in hand, and a player with one card left shrieks HUNO!  as loudly as possible.  Mr. Sneaky Pants was so terribly excited to stay up a few extra minutes before nap time today to play a few games of HUNO with his dad in front of the cozy fireplace.
