Happy New Year

There are actually a lot more kids dancing on this carpet than appears. Most of them were moving too quickly for the camera to catch them.
Few people appreciate a party like The Banana does. She came dressed in a leotard and tutu under her cape, in fine form for some serious dancing. When she wasn’t twirling under the disco ball, you most likely could find her at the snack table. There is nothing better than unlimited snacks at a party, especially when there’s enough chaos happening that no one really keeps track of how many snacks you’ve actually had. There was no way she would be sharing any portions of her cupcake with pesky grownups.

Mr. Trouble on Feet loved every second of the loud and crazy noisemakers, the clinking glasses, the party favors that uncurl and curl back up. (Those things always make me want to gag. My parents used to bring them home after New Years and we’d play with them so much they would get soggy and smelly, and my stomach lurches just thinking about them as I’m typing this.) He loved the balloons that came floating down from the ceiling at “midnight” and he loved all the crazy people zipping around him. Even though it wasn’t 2010 this year or the next, these glasses were a lot of fun for everyone too.

I hope your New Years Eve celebration was as fun filled as mine.
