A Conversation with Mr. Sneaky Pants

A few days ago, Dr. Peds sent Mr. Sneaky Pants upstairs to me because he had bitten his baby sister in the arm, but I didn't find out about that until much later on in the day.  What I observed was my darling boy bounding up the stairs, tears streaming down his face, his arms tense with frustration and his feet stamping the whole way.

Me:  Well, what's wrong, little guy?  What happened?

Mr. SP:  Well, the problem is I am so frustrated with that Hannah.

Me:  Oh.  Well, tell me about it.

Mr. SP:  She always grabs my stuff and knocks it around.  And I hate that.

Me:  It's tough having a little sister, isn't it?  That would be very frustrating.  Here, how about we snuggle for a bit?

Mr.  SP:  Yeah.  (So we snuggle for a minute or two and he relaxes a bit.)  Mama, the next time we have to have a baby, I do NOT want a whining, crying baby.  And I do NOT want a take-your-stuff baby.  I just want a regular little old baby that doesn't do anything at all.
Oh, that Mr. Sneaky Pants.  He can wiggle himself out of situations like he was slathered with butter.  I was all smitten and sympathetic until I went down the stairs and found out why Dr. Peds had sent him up in the first place.  It is frustrating having someone follow you around and disassemble everything and try to give you hugs when you don't want them, but it is NOT OK to bite them in the arm.  Obviously.
