Mess of the Week: The Wet Edition

Rugs
These are the rugs from the front entryway into my house.  They are drying on the front steps this evening because Mr. Sneaky Pants has been sneaky again.  While I was in the backyard playing calmly with his sweet baby sister, he walked around to the front of the house and turned on the hose.  And played fireman.  Which consisted of opening the door to our house and putting out the fire inside.  Yes, that's right, my friends, he hosed down the inside of my house.  There was a puddle at least as big as me inside the foyer, as well as some very, very soaked rugs in the entryway.  Of course, I didn't discover this until at least an hour later because when I realized Mr. Sneaky Pants was missing, I walked around to the front yard and found him playing fireman with one of our recently planted trees.  I thought to myself, "It's dangerous to let him play with that hose unsupervised."  So I turned off the water and made him come back to the backyard to play.  It wasn't until I started making supper, and happened by chance to walk past the entryway that I stepped in a very, very soggy puddle.

Needless to say, after a few scrambled eggs he had to go to bed early.  Very, very early.  To his credit, I don't think he completely realized what a mess he was making (my poor, poor hardwood floors!)  or that water would really even make a mess if he squirted it inside.  However, for the sake the situation hopefully not repeating, we had to implement some big consequences.
