Scattered Thundershowers

On Friday afternoon and all day Saturday we were blessed with baby rainshowers. It was the kind of day when
a cloud would come and block out the sun, it would get extremely windy, rain would fall for about five minutes, and then it would be perfectly sunny and still again. Repeat, and repeat. When the first thundershower blew through Friday afternoon, we were all walking with the stroller back from the branch library. Immediately upon arriving home I hauled in the drying rack of clothes from the deck, and Mr. Sneaky Pants and Sarah ran upstairs. They came down wearing their swimsuits, and rushed outside with galoshes and umbrellas.

Oh, it must have been a warm little rainshower, you think to yourself.

No, my friends it was not. Not warm at all. But this did not deter them in the least. They happily went out and did a little rain dance in the backyard. I didn’t get a picture of Sarah, but picture in your mind a little blonde sprite with a bright hot pink swimsuit and orange flower galoshes with a rainbow umbrella. Here’s her comrade:
