Someone LOVES Thomas the Train! I haven’t ever seen him sit in one place so long as when he discovered this Thomas the Train catalog and “read” it from cover to cover, many times over.

Auntie Dot took a few moments to teach all the firebugs how to create a new fire out of old coals.

At the end of the day kidlets were tired, tired, tired. Plus, this one was struggling with some summer allergies.

Before eating cake, we decided to employ the slave labor force by having a weed picking party. They were not excited, and even less excited when it turned out that some of the weeds were stinging nettles or something like that, and their hands swelled up and got bumpy and itchy. Drama! There was drama! Loud catastrophic drama! And that left two dads and just one child who didn’t seem to be affected left to finish the weeds in the rock bank along the shore. Oh well. It was a good idea in theory.
