Mess of the Week: The Quick Complete Your Art and then Hide Edition

Admittedly, I was really quite frustrated when I discovered this art project, completed by Mr. Sneaky Pants in all of his sneaky glory. In fact, I rather lost my temper for a short time. Really, I left the house for maybe 30 seconds to take a plastic milk jug to the recycling bin outside. I spent the next three minutes looking for my middle child, and finally noticed two glitter glue markers on his bedroom rug. The markers are his sister’s. He loves them. She does not love him using them. Anyway, after searching every floor of the house to reprimand him for taking his sister’s markers, I found him cuddling in the farmost reaches of his closet. And then I turned around and saw the “project”. on the heating register cover Thankfully the markers were washable. And even more thankfully, I discovered the project soon enough to actually be able to wash them off before they soaked into the white painted wood.

We’ll discuss the stash of decomposing plums and the picked over remains of two loaves of stale, gourmet bread that our babysitter found between the futon and the papasan chair last Thursday another time. Apparently Mr. Sneaky Pants has been sneaking food again as well.
