A New Found Love for Pencils

The Banana is really into pencils. She carefully searches for writing utensils that her siblings may have left on the floor or within reach, and then locates a scrap or two of paper to draw. (Sometimes if she can’t find the paper she uses the wall, but luckily for me, there never seems to be a lack of paper scraps littering our floors). Today she was in absolute paradise because I gave her several sheets of paper. She ran right over to the activity table and plunked herself down on her favorite little red chair and began spreading out all the papers and drawing on them. It was so cute. She had eight projects going at once, and was just so thrilled with herself. How can you not swoon over these chubby little fingers gripping a pink glitter pencil?
