Circles

It’s cold. It is so cold here, in fact, that I actually turned up my thermostat four degrees to compensate for the negative 60 degree windchill the west side of our house is battling. Needless to say, we are cooped up inside. And to make matters all the more crazy, this is a four day weekend from school for Sarah. Because people were starting to go stir crazy anyway, I decided that the best way to handle the situation would be to join them, rather than climb against the grain. So, at 4:00 p.m, I herded everyone into the living room and set up my tripod. We did “photo experiments” where they jumped up and down and ran in circles as fast as they could so they could see the motion streaks they left on the photos. This was actually one of my more brilliant moves, because it kept them crazy busy for a good 45 minutes. They were so busy jumping they forgot all about arguing.
