The Little Tool Guy

Ya Ya was at school.  The Banana was napping after lunch.  Dr. Peds was outside fixing things and getting the yard ready for winter, and he asked Mr. SP if he would like to come out and be a "worker guy."  Mr. SP loves being a worker guy.  They brought out the special set of small tools from the basement, and Dr. Peds gathered some scrap wood.  Together they built a ramp for small cars.

A good project, though, in the eyes of Mr. SP, must of course have something to do with medieval warfare.  So with not so much convincing, he and Dr. Peds came up with a plan to make a catapult.  Mr. SP mostly figured out how to make it himself.  Dr.  Peds helped with a few details.

Catapult

After a bit, Dr. Peds went off to do some work and left Mr. Sneaky Pants on the porch with a pile of wood.  Elated, my little builder constructed this completely by himself:

Buildasword

He was beyond pleased with himself.  He was very smitten with his creation, and promptly asked for the supplies to make two more swords of different lengths.  Dr. Peds, a sword lover himself, was happy to oblige.  Measure.  Hammer.  Measure.  Hammer.  That's how he spent the whole afternoon.  Creating.

When I came out the next morning I found these swords on the steps to the deck.

84swords

Every sword needs a point, of course.  Mr. Sneaky Pants didn't run the saw, but I'm told that he gave Dr. Peds very specific instructions on EXACTLY how he wanted the job done while he watched.
