Saturday Afternoon Sledding

Earlier in the week YaYa had gone sledding with her youth group at church  on a hill that we have never been to before. On Saturday afternoon she had the brilliant idea that our family should check out the hill.  Dr. Peds was working, but we didn’t have any plans, so I said sure!  I was happy to have my crew out of the house and doing something active, and it was 20 degrees out, which seems quite warm these days.  I was even more happy that they were all on board and excited to do something, and no one was sandbagging and ruining the experience for the others.

Mr. Trouble on Feet is not a fan of sledding, and this hill was huge and steep, so he just stood around watching everyone else “go fast.”  He liked it when they wiped out and “made dust.” The other three kidlets have no fear.  They are also made of rubber.  Seriously.  I couldn’t believe some of the tumbles they took and came up laughing.

There is a big jump halfway down the hill, and they had a lot of fun catching air and flying.

We were out for more than 2 hours, and they would have stayed even longer except that the little brother in residence was cold, and completely done with the affair.
