Yesterday we were out walking in the woods.  The Banana noticed that she, YaYa and I all were wearing silly hats.  “Let’s take a silly hat picture!” she exclaimed.  Of course, YaYa wanted no part in that, but I said sure, and handed my camera with all of the settings ready to Mr. SP along with a few instructions.  He took the picture and handed the camera back to me.  I looked at the view finder.

“Wow!  You did a GREAT job!”  I said.  It was true.  He had taken a great picture.  Unfortunately, my head really does look weird in that lovely chicken hat (don’t worry, that won’t stop me from wearing it all the time) and the teensy bit of sunshine made me squint which makes me look even more wrinkly and middle aged than I actually am.  Still, I’m happy to have a picture of myself with The Banana.

Jokingly, I said to Mr. SP, “But couldn’t you take a picture that makes me look thin, young and not wrinkly?”

Mr. Sneaky Pants looked at me carefully out of the corner of his eye and said so diplomatically,  “Uhm, Mom, I wish I could.  If I could I would, but that is just not happening.”

By the way, I am thinking that my third child inherited a straighter version of my enormous front teeth.  They are exactly the same shape.  Thankfully hers did not come in pointing every other direction than they should.  Mine required several years of orthodontic procedures.  She might get lucky.
