Dressed in Green

YaYa woke up yesterday morning and realized it was St. Patrick’s Day, so before hopping on the bus to school, she whipped up this skirt with material she scavenged from the remnant bin at the fabric store.  Zip.  Zoom.  It was done.  She borrowed my green lunch box for the day, found a green headband for her hair, and was out the door wearing her green winter coat and rainbow mittens.

The Banana was also dressed in head to toe green (a bit more conventionally, however).  Unfortunately she came home halfway through the day with an upset tummy.  Mr. SP wore a green sweatshirt, and Mr. TOF donned his John Deere T-shirt to celebrate.  He was wholly delighted to drink green milk all day long.  I hope you, too,  found time to make green pancakes and munch on Irish Soda bread.

Miss Sarah, I do believe you win the green prize this year. You are amazing! I wish I had a skirt like that. Love you lots!

Wow, that was quick thinking and great that she has that fabric stash. I am so happy she like the sewing!
