Graineybathtub

Upon being woken up before the crack of dawn, (an early crack of dawn) by a crying Destructoman, I traipsed down the stairs from my bedroom rather grumpily and turned on the bathroom light. To my surprise, the shower walls were covered with writing. Someone gave my kids bathtub crayons a while ago, and they love them. So do I. They’re easy to clean up, and the shower makes a great white canvas for artwork. We hadn’t had them out for some time, though, and the kids hadn’t had baths the night before. But my husband did run water for a bath right as I was checking into my bed the night before. Apparently while soaking in the tub he did some deep thinking about an upcomming lecture he was giving and didn’t want to forget his thoughts, so he scribbled them down on the bathroom wall with a bathtub crayon. I thought the idea was splendid. It made me grin from ear to ear. There is always something going through my husband’s mind, and he records his lists and notes so differently than I do. The longer we are married the easier I can see the thought process behind some of his notes, which is kind of neat, I think. When he did arise several hours later, he copied down the bathtub notes into a notebook and the kids have since washed them away.
