Evening Work

It’s his job to take out the recycling every evening.  Half the time there are bits and pieces of plastic, paper and cardboard scattered randomly along the path to the recycling bin outside, little tidbits that he has dropped without realizing it because he’s intent on doing the job as fast as he can.  Let’s face it, he’s kind of a sloppy kid, and even if all the pieces actually make it to the recycling bin, a few fall out when he lifts the lid and deposits them inside.

Around here we fill up the recycling bin long before it gets collected every other week.  We really wish that our recycling collectors came each and every week, as we cram and stuff as much stuff into that tall bin as we can.  At least it’s recycling, and not trash.
