A Cold, Cold Sleigh Ride

Each year on the second weekend in February the residency programs at our hospital sponsor a sleigh ride through the woods. Any residents and families who want to attend meet at a warming house in the country and take a horse drawn sleigh ride through the woods. It is one of our favorite family winter activities. With the extremely cold weather we’ve been having, I figured they would cancel this year, but they didn’t. So, we bundled everybody up. It’s amazing how a huge bonfire can warm up a warming house. I love it. The food was delicious. The friends were fantastic and jovial. It was a nice way to end a rather stressful day (see plumbing post below). I didn’t venture out on the sleigh ride this year because I stayed with The Banana and Desctructoman in the warming house and chatted with friends, but Ms. Crazy Preschooler and Dr. P. partook. It was cold, but the reports are that the stars were amazing.
