Sunday Night at the Beach: The Foggy Express Edition

So, I’m a bit behind this week, the last week of school, which has been complicated by a student piano recital, an upcoming violin recital for The Banana, several school field trips and sharing times, a laundry crisis, an emergency garage sale, a gang of kids excited for summer and roaming my street to play in one yard and then the next, and an outbreak of the hungriest mosquitos I’ve seen for some time.  Regardless, here is Sunday Night at the Beach, from last Sunday.

It was foggy!  We suspected it might be chilly down the hill, and we were met with chilly wind and fog as  we zipped down for an express picnic.  We rounded up a bunch of fruit and vegetables from our fridge, and stopped at the grocery store for chicken on our way.  We ate fast, wandered around for a few minutes, and jumped back in the car.  It all worked out great, actually, because from the start we knew we had to be back home in not very much time to get a few things ready for school the next day.
