Riding Max

Papa Richard brought Max in next to the barn so that Auntie Dot could lead the kids around the yard one night.  This was one of the highlights of our time in Valley City.  There were always two cousins together on Max’s back at a time, and Dot got and Max got quite a workout.  I watched Baby Nathaniel and made sure no one got in the horse’s way and lounged around on the porch swing.  Sometimes I have it good.

Little Cousin KaKa’s ability to ride a horse should not be underestimated just because she’s two.  She’s quite the cowgirl, and has an opinion about how things should be done; specifically, she should be allowed on the horse at all times.

Only Mr. TOF  did not partake in a horseback ride.  Mr. TOF was content to just watch.

The highly anticipated and much loved activity of riding Max was followed by ice cream bars in the front yard.  It was a good night.
