Playing the Wii at Uncle Joey’s House

One evening we drove to Bismarck to visit my brother, his amazing and wonderful wife, and my terrific nephews.  My Cousin Lisa came over as well.  It was an evening filled with thunderstorms, so we ordered pizza and had a great time while the wind blew and the rain splattered.  In addition to eating vast quantities of pizza, the kidlets seized the opportunity to play the wii.  All of the cousins took turns racing Super Mario Carts.  Cousin Jack’s skill was impressive.  Mr. SP, who loves video games, was zooming full speed ahead.  The Banana enjoyed herself.

Cousin Jack cheered with enthusiasm for his dad.

Mr. TOF wanted to give it a try, so Uncle Joey helped him out.

Cousin Connor watched the activity from the rocking chair, protected by safety goggles.

Cousin Jack tried steering his dad’s head, hoping it would help him drive better.

Eventually all the kidlets took another turn at driving, and this time Mr. TOF wanted to try himself.  He spent 15 minutes getting through a course that took every one else less than 3 minutes to complete, and along the way, he managed to run into every object he could crash into, went through a tunnel upside down, and turned infinite circles inter dispersed with driving the wrong direction each time he needed to turn a corner.  We were all in stitches.

The third time Mr. TOF got a chance to run the controller, Cousin Jack crawled up into his dad’s lap and buried his head in my brother’s neck.  It was late.  My brother asked, “Are you tired?”

“NO!  I just can’t watch this!”  He replied.
