Distraught Chicken in Distress

I am so excited about this chicken costume. Mr. Cuddles LOVES chickens. He is crazy about chickens. But he’s not so crazy about the costume. In fact, I think he’s afraid of it. After almost an hour of persuading, I finally got him to put the chicken coat on to “practice” for Halloween. Things were going well until about fourteen steps out the door he tripped on the large pile of leaves (understandable as it’s hard to see around that chicken tummy). Things fell apart. He was madder than a wet hen. He wanted out of that costume, and no fairy princess with comforting words was going to change matters.
