The last few days I have been a picture taking maniac. There are several reasons for this. Tomorrow the kids and I are driving to North Dakota for my brother’s wedding this weekend, and the LCD light on my camera screen broke last week, so I am trying to practice taking pictures with my KNOWLEDGE only, and not the ability to check the exposure of what I just took. I am so frustrated about my camera breaking for no reason, out of the blue, but I think I will still be able to take some good pictures at the wedding. As soon as we get home, the camera is getting sent to the repair shop.

I am not teaching music lessons the month of June, so I seem to have spare time on my hands. Not spare time to do things that need to get done, like cleaning my house, because as soon as I start something like that everything falls apart with the small residents of the house. So I’ve resigned myself to doing nothing but playing with kids and reading with kids, but you can only do that for so long before you NEED to take pictures, pictures, and more pictures. So my camera has been going everywhere, documenting all sorts of things. And I’m not sorry.

Today, for example, we were outside planting flowers, when it began to sprinkle (and then thunderstorm) and Ms. Crazy Preschooler ran to get her umbrella. She brought Mr. Cuddles an umbrella too, and then went in the house to get her galoshes, even though it was barely sprinkling. Mr. Cuddles sat right down on the driveway next to the side door to the hosue and took off his shoes, signed for Ms. CP to get his boots, and hat. And then he tromped hitherto all over the patio. It was so cute, and something I probably would have forgotten or not even noticed if I hadn’t had my camera around.
