Sunday Night at the Beach: The First Excursion!

Choir rehearsals are finished for the season, and summer weather is here.  To the beach we went last Sunday Night!  Heading to a stretch of beach each Sunday night of the summer has become a family tradition over the past few years.  It’s one of my favorite parts of summer.  Five of us were thrilled to be at the beach.  One certain  teenager  was not.

Dr. Peds brought along a lawn chair.  It didn’t get much use, because this little guy and his tiny plastic football had other plans, and even though Dr. Peds had already played soccer and baseball with this little person who just seems to love throwing, kicking, catching, and batting, he is such a good person that he ran around tossing that little football and chasing it in all directions.  Seriously, I married a good egg.

Some people hunted for sea glass and other treasures.

I know that the Bible instructs parents not to irritate their children.  But sometimes, sometimes it is just so stinking entertaining.

I just love those eyeglasses on my littlest one.  They make my insides smile.

This boy managed to stay dry for 3/4 of the night, but at one point he fell in, and then decided he may as well go for a swim.

This is what happens when I ask to have all four kidlets in one frame.  One hides. One tries to thwart the hiding.   One tries to stand on his head.  One doesn’t pay any attention once he gets to an appropriate place to stand.  Real life.  It doesn’t get much better than that.
