Fifteen Frames: The Middles Match

Last Thursday morning all of the kids at our elementary school were encouraged to walk or bike to school.  Anyone who arrived on foot got a free T-shirt.  Despite the fact that at our house walking to school is usually the consequence of missing the school bus, and despite the fact that we literally live in one of the very farthest corners of our elementary school’s boundary, the middles were really excited to walk to school.  It’s a good two mile walk for us.  Actually, to get to school on time, we only had to leave about 20 minutes before they ordinarily catch the school bus at the corner.  We probably should make a point of walking more often.  (Going down the steep hill is a lot faster than coming up it, however, so if we walk, I really need to block out a big chunk of morning time because my climb back up the hill is . . . slow.) Biking is not such a great option for us because the hill is so steep.   We had a great walk together, and it was fun to see more and more families out walking to school the closer we got to the building.  It was the perfect morning for walking:  wonderful temperatures, sunny, with a faint breeze.  The shirts are pretty snazzy too.   As usual, these two were full of shenanigans in the evening when I asked for a matchy-matchy picture.
