My Smallest Niece
When the cousins came to visit, it was so fun to see how my smallest niece’s personality is blossoming. She’s a little more tentative in comparison with some of her siblings. She watches and observes and takes things in at her own little pace. I was blessed to have some one on one time to read books with this little one. She LOVES to read books, and unlike a lot of two year olds, she does not whip through the pages of a book to get to the end as fast as she can. Every page is examined very carefully, and she points to all the interesting things on the page waiting for me to give each thing a word. So fun! She seems especially to like books about fish and birds.
Dr. Peds lucked out because he got to spend one whole evening with her one on one while half of us were at the symphony and the other half of us were at a musical at YaYa’s school (she played in the pit orchestra). Dr. Peds and his little friend made cookies, read books, and watched movies about fish (a bit hit). I did, however, get to rock this sweet girl for a few hours one day when she was feverish and not feeling the greatest, and I loved my snuggle time. When that fever lifted, she was full of personality!
