Ya Ya’s Art Show

The moment Ya Ya stepped into the Art Institute for art camp her eyes started sparkling.  When I dropped her off Monday morning, her enthusiastic teacher handed her a large clump of clay.  Each day when I picked her up all week long she was filled with stories about what they had done that day, and she described all of the amazing and difficult art projects they were working on in great detail all the way home.  We were very excited to see them in person yesterday at the art show.  She bounced around and showed us each piece.  All of the projects on display were amazing, and all so very different.  The whole experience for Ya Ya was just terrific.

Here are some of the projects on display:

Ya Ya loved all the projects, so it was really hard for her to pick a favorite.  My favorites to look at are the mask and the pyramid.

Oh, man my favorite is the picture that she painted of herself. She did just great! I think the talent has passed on to another generation, look out old Grandma Zana!
