Conversations on the Drive to Church
Last Sunday I dressed in a long sleeve solid beige shirt, a long red calico skirt, and since it was chilly and rainy, I snuggled into a beige tightly knit wrap/shawl.
In the car on the way to church:
Mr. Sneaky Pants: Mom, is your choir singing this morning?
Me: No, honey.
Mr. SP: Well, are you going to that other fancy choir after church?
Me: No, not this morning. I have practice tonight, though.
Mr. SP: Is the symphony playing at church this morning, Mom?
Me: Noooooooooo?
Mr. SP: Is it Halloween?
Me: No. Remember, Halloween is in the fall. It's spring now.
Mr. SP: Well, Mom, why ARE you wearing that costume then?
