A Warm Weekend at a Winter Beach

The temperature actually rose above freezing this weekend, so we spent as much time outside as possible. Saturday afternoon we went to the beach and played on the icy landscape.  To make things even more fun, we brought along a few boards from our scrap pile.  In the hands of the kidlets, they became hockey sticks, baseball backs, rock launchers, bridges connecting icy rocks, boats, skiis, and all kinds of other things.  It was so terrific to be outside without anyone complaining about freezing.  The Banana just ran and ran and rolled and rolled in the snow.  They were so soaking wet from the puddles by the time we got home. It seems that even in the winter, they can't go to the beach without coming home soggy to their inmost core.
