Sharing a Few Favorite Pictures from Last Weekend
There are a few more pictures of our Labor Day Weekend that I can't resist sharing. On Friday at sunset we took a quick trip down to the rocky beach, where of course, all the non-adults climbed rocks, jumped off rocks, and swam in the frigid water until they were soaked to the bone and nearly hypothermic. I love this first picture. When I opened it up on my computer I was delighted. I had no idea that I had actually caught someone jumping in the air. (The jumper is none other than Mr. Sneaky Pants.)
My niece Miranda is just a hoot. She is always coming up with crazy ways for me to take her picture, and of course, I always oblige her. In between about 329 silly pictures, there are a few gems, like these:
All of my athletic little nieces are amazing swimmers. They seriously stun me. This is Madison swimming across the pool at the bottom of the hiking trail.
Madison and Sarah are both art bugs. If any kind of art was happening, the two of them were involved. In fact, they were probably the ones who initiated the art in the first place.
Because we've been blessed to be able to see my nieces more this summer, and because their hair is cut differently right now, I am excited to finally be able to tell Madison and Miranda, who are twins, apart. They really look a lot a like to me . . . identical to my eyes. But now that I know their personalities a little better and am able to decipher who is who more easily because of the hair, I can actually tell that there are a few differences in their faces, too. But let me emphasize the word few.
For some reason, I just don't have as many pictures of my third, lovely niece, Janzie from this last weekend. But, there is this picture that I bribed her to take. I said I'd hold down a branch of the crab apple tree if she let me take a picture for each crab apple she picked from it. We struck a deal and I snapped this:
Here's a slimy slug oozing around on Janzie's knee.
