A Lazy Summer Saturday at the Beach

After a quick trip to a few garage sales last Saturday, we zipped down to the beach.  Well, more accurately, we slowly drove at a turtle's pace down to the beach because the neighborhood near the sand beach was having their annual garage sale, which meant that the street was crawling with extremely interesting pedestrians and a lot of great garage sales that we forced ourselves not to attend in order to actually get  to spend some time at the beach.  We brought a quick picnic lunch, slathered everyone with sunscreen, and then basked in the sun in the perfect weather.  There was much running, much rolling, and digging in the sand, and much splashing in the frigid water.  The shore was extremely calm, with the most gentle of waves because the light breeze was to our backs.
