Snack

Usually when the kidlets come in the door from school they immediately ask for a snack.  And I usually immediately reply with the command to get an apple or orange out of the fridge,  to grab a banana, or make a mixture with nuts and raisins.  But sometimes I’m in a cookie baking mood.  It helps to be in a cookie baking mood on days when it snows, because then I can say to my kidlets, “Quick!  Before you take off all your snow stuff!  Go out and shovel the sidewalks and driveway!  I have some delicious cookies for you when you are done!”  Unfortunately, even though the deal is sweeter, they usually still whine and complain and grumble and some certain people even yell nasty things at me (and if they yell,  they loose cookie privileges).   I love cookies.  They taste even better, I believe, after a bit of shoveling.  Some of these kidlets are getting to be amazing shovelers.
